SURA and CSC/ATG, the owners of Jefferson Science Associates (JSA), have established the JSA Initiatives Fund (IF) to support programs, initiatives, and activities that further the scientific outreach, and promote the science, education and technology missions of Jefferson Lab in ways that complement its basic and applied research focus. Successful awards from the Initiatives Fund are made for those projects that benefit the Lab user community and that leverage commitments of others, including the Lab itself. The IF Program includes an annual commitment of $0.5 Million and is overseen, managed and administered by the JSA Programs Committee, through the Office of Strategic Services of SURA, the Administrative Member of JSA. Funds not committed in one fiscal year will automatically be forwarded to the following year. The Committee will receive a semi-annual report of the status of the projects for which funds have been committed.
