The owners of Jefferson Science Associates (JSA), have established the JSA Initiatives Fund (IF) Program to support projects, initiatives, and activities that further the scientific outreach, and promote the science, education and technology missions of Jefferson Lab in ways that complement its basic and applied research focus. Successful awards from the Initiatives Fund are made for those projects that benefit the Lab user community and that leverage commitments of others, including the Lab itself. The IF Program is overseen, managed and administered by the JSA Programs Committee through the Chief Governance Office of SURA, the Administrative Member of JSA. Funds not committed in one fiscal year will automatically be forwarded to the following year. The Committee will receive regular reports of the status of the projects for which funds have been committed.
The JSA Initiatives Fund Program is funded annually by the JSA owners, SURA and PAE Applied Technologies, to support projects, initiatives, and activities that further the scientific outreach, and promote the science, education and technology missions of Jefferson Lab and benefit the Lab user community.
